I have a soft spot in my heart for animals, especially dogs. We got our first two dogs when I was 10-years-old; one was a dachshund terrier mix born across the street, and the other was a 5-year-old beagle mix whose owners just didn’t have time for anymore. They were best friends and my babies! I worked in a kennel in high school and right after college also, so I lived and breathed (literally) doggy for a whole summer!
This summer, a local resident, Michael Paxton, lost his dog in front of his very eyes to an officer that was poorly-trained and made a bad judgment call after reporting to the wrong house. I realized that when Michael posted pictures of the late and great Cisco on his Facebook page, that’s when I truly understood the loss he felt, how heartbreaking it must have been to see his beloved shot down in front of him. Cisco’s everything was in those photos; you could see his energy, his kindness, his soul. These pictures are precious. All the photos I have of my darling dogs mean so much to me that I put them in an album and look at them when I need a little company.
In honor of Cisco, I ran a pet session special and Patty and Jeff took advantage of that! They had me come over to their house and take some shots of their three children, Angel, Finnegan, and Stash. Enjoy their cuteness!
