I shot Jimmie and Sandra’s wedding last year…sort of. The night before, I had assisted at my first wedding and attended Jimmie and Sandra’s as a guest. Long story short, the photographer was not able to make it and after the ceremony I went home and got my stuff. With my brand-new knowledge of shooting weddings, I did what I could to capture the rest of their special day. These two people are very special to me. They’ve supported me from day one and continue to do so. They threw me a birthday party and collected donations for my business, plus personal notes from many of the party-goers AND created wall art for me. The point is, they are wonderful people and I’m so happy they found each other…and that I get to take pictures of their love 🙂
They brew beer together every Sunday and have plans to start a microbrewery with friends in the near future. One of their favorite haunts is Blackstar Co-Op on N Lamar and Airport, so we started inside and then took advantage of all the wonderful backdrops available to us in that shopping complex, including the Metro Rail! They’re both extremely passionate about cycling around town whenever possible to not only help their wallets but also the planet. In fact, TODAY, they’re moving to a more central location so they can bike around more easily. 🙂 You’ll also notice Jimmie’s magnificent beard…well, there are more than one photo of Sandra sticking her face in it. It’s just one of those things you have to love about Jimmie! Here they are!
