Patty’s Bridals at the Elisabet Ney Museum • Austin TX Wedding Photography

November 20, 2012

So, Patty and I had planned to get together to practice bridal shots in the summer. Then we decided to wait until it wasn’t like a sauna outside to do so. Smart move, right? I chose the Elisabet Ney museum because it just seemed like the right place. There was absolutely no rhyme or reason for it, except that that’s where Patty needed to be in my head. She purchased a dress from Goodwill (score!) and wore her mother’s veil, so we were sure to get some good shots of it. When I arrived, she told me that she absolutely loved this place, and that it was a recent but deep love. Thank you, universe! We both love the shot of Patty looking at the museum for that very reason. Her friend Sanna came along to help hold reflectors, fix hair, veils, and provide moral support. It couldn’t have gone so seamlessly without her! We all had a great time and Patty got all sorts of drive-by compliments, including a dear old homeless man just passing through. It’s fun to play dress-up 🙂
