Teresa and Dane’s wedding was one of my favorites. It was the perfect mix of meaning and beauty! Their ceremony was written so beautifully that I wished I could have sat down and just listened. They acknowledged their families, they acknowledged those that are unable to get married in this country, and they passed their ring through every guest’s hands. Their family and friends absolutely adore and respect them on a whole new level. They’re passionate about being active, exploring, adventuring, sustainable agriculture, and doing good in this world. Teresa and Dane met at Rice University and they made a lot of other amazing, lasting relationships there.
They decorated the already-beautiful Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum with very fresh, natural flowers provided by Jennifer’s Gardens and streamers that reminded me of the outdoors. The food, catered by Pink Avocado, definitely followed suit! They also included board games like Connect 4 and a German game called Mensch.
Teresa looked so beautiful in her gown by Winnie Couture, hair by Propaganda Salon, and bridal jewelry by Kendra Scott Jewelry; she did a great job with her own makeup!
The reception was super fun. Teresa and Dane choreographed the cutest, most entertaining first dance I’ve ever seen. I was absolutely delighted! They also addressed their guests together, something I’ve never seen before and absolutely loved. Chuck Roast provided great tunes for the party and Amy’s Ice Creams made everything sweet! There was bocce ball and crossword puzzles, and their exit was pretty original, too: paper airplanes!
