Laura and Jonathan found me on Facebook when I was just starting to do weddings, and they booked me while they were in South Korea! Having not met them, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was ready for anything! I traveled to Mason, TX (which is near Fredericksburg) and went down a ridiculously bumpy dirt road for 20 minutes hoping that there would be the Tres Lunas Resort at the end of it! On the way there, I enjoyed the beautiful patches of wildflowers all along the road and the view once I pulled in was magnificent. As soon as I introduced myself to Jonathan, I knew they were good people. And when I entered the bride’s room, everyone was welcoming and smiling and I was right at home! They had a really lovely, intimate wedding at the outdoor chapel at the resort, and probably the most noteworthy part of the ceremony was how the wind played with Laura’s long veil. I also loved the moment when the minister asked if there was any reason these two shall not be wed…Jonathan gave everyone a look and all the guests erupted into laughter. 🙂 The reception took place under this huuuuuuuge oak tree with food catered by Tres Lunas. Jonathan’s brother delivered the most well-written speech I’d ever heard at a wedding – it was hilarious and tearfully poignant. Something I love about this venue is the circle of chairs set up on the edge of the hill so that you can look out into the distance. I also loved the flowers, which looked so fresh and natural – just like the hill country. Laura and Jonathan are so sweet together and I’m really glad I was there to capture their day!
