Toybrary Austin is a magical place. Owner Liza Wilson opened Toybrary officially on July 8th and it’s quickly becoming one of Austin’s hot spots for kids’ activities! It was created to provide a positive, clean, welcoming environment in which children, parents, and teachers can interact and learn. Liza has worked in education for the past 20 years in settings from public school to Montessori to the French education system.
As its name implies, Toybrary is a place where toys can be borrowed with monthly pricing options that are designed to save you money year after year! Did you know that there’s a USA Toy Library Association? Well there is, and Toybrary is a member. It’s the perfect place to explore toys of all kinds, to play, learn, and grow! Not only that, but Toybrary has numerous entertainment and educational events nearly every day for kids, parents, and even nannies. And it’s the perfect place for kids’ birthday parties, too!
Every day I see wonderful things happening at Toybrary, which Liza regularly posts about on her Facebook page. This past week already I’ve read about a sign language class for babies, a Teddy Bear picnic, a Spanish language class called Mommy and Me, a Tots-Smarts class, and a visit from the Austin Zoo! She also has an awesome newsletter that I encourage you to sign up for!
You really need to stop by and see the amazing toys Liza’s collected and the amazing environment she’s created. It’s just a wonderful space to be in, especially in this hot summer weather! And if you get hungry or thirsty, never fear! Liza’s got snacks and beverages to keep you and your little one going.
