Karen and Mark chose a 1920s/art deco-themed engagement session to match the theme of their wedding! I just think they’re the classiest, sharpest looking couple I’ve ever photographed in their 1920s garb, and Karen looks stunning in her flapper-inspired dress, red lipstick, and super awesome stockings! They had their first date at Snack Bar on Soco, which has lots of ethical and vegan treats. After getting a couple shots there, we headed over to the Brass House, an awesome jazz lounge where their reception will be held. I’ve never heard of anyone else having a wedding reception there, but Karen’s a singer/songwriter (check out her Facebook page here) and has performed at the Brass House before. The owners love her and she’s even on their website!
We took some really classy shots (and some steamy almost-kissing shots, ow ow!) and then they started goofing off! Their slow-motion walking is some of the best I’ve seen and Karen really knows how to throw a punch! I’m so excited to capture their wedding at Chapel Dulcinea and Brass House in October!
Karen and Mark had some admirers during the session 🙂
Karen’s crinkle-nose face she makes at Mark 🙂 I framed this shot in front of the red car to match her lipstick!
