Tamar and Bruno have a beautiful story. They met at UT, but they came together from across the globe. Tamar’s home town is Leicester, UK, and Bruno’s is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Bruno stayed in Austin after graduating, but Tamar went back home. Since then, they have been doing the difficult yet rewarding dance of long-distancing. In fact, Bruno is flying in to see Tamar TODAY, which is the first time they’ve seen each other since the engagement session in early October!
I think of Tamar and Bruno as a non-stop comedy act. Sitting in the back of their car felt like I was listening to a routine on the radio. They are so quick-witted and have the most amazing back-and-forth I’ve ever heard! You know they’re going to last forever with that kind of comedic chemistry.
The other other thing I love about them is how colorful they are! Their hair, their clothes, their personalities – I loved their energy and it matched mine! Tamar prepared a lovely little picnic with tea; since she’s an artist and 3D visualizer, she has a really keen eye. Plus she bakes, so there were homemade muffins to be had also! They even shared some of their delectable fruits with me 🙂
ANOTHER thing I love about them is that they’re doing things THEIR way. Bruno has an engagement ring too, which I’ve always thought made sense, and even their rings are unconventional (scroll down to see close-ups)!
We started at the capitol and eventually made our way to Pease Park where we frolicked and goofed off until the sun went down. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was capturing their silliness and delight in each other. I’m psyched to be shooting their wedding at House on the Hill this summer!
Impression of Zoolander’s “Blue Steel”. Magnum is still unattainable.
Look at her cute dress! I love her style.
It’s no accident that their plates match their rings.
