Tamar and Bruno are one of those couples that have amazing comedic chemistry and that found each other from completely disparate countries – the UK and Brazil! As a 3D artist and gluten-free baker, Tamar really knew how to make her wedding look beautiful and personalized. They DIYed the entire thing, other than the officiant and photography. Tamar made the vegan cupcakes and their adorable displays, the bridesmaids’ hair accessories, and all the bouquets, and her mom made her wedding dress, the bridesmaids’ dresses, and a vest for Bruno! One of her bridesmaids made the beaded jewelry they all wore. It was all a labor of love and it turned out perfectly!
Tamar and her family are from the UK, and Bruno and his family are from Brazil. These two met at UT and while Bruno didn’t return to Brazil after graduating, Tamar returned to the UK. They stayed committed to one another despite the distance and after getting engaged, decided to settle down in Austin after their wedding. It was so amazing to see her family, in their colorful Indian attire, travel all the way here, as well as her closest friends. And Bruno’s family did the same, traveling all the way from Brazil. What an act of love! There was something about these families that made my heart burst. There was just an abundance of love and joy surrounding them at all times, and everyone was so open and welcoming and real.
As of today, Tamar and Bruno have been married for 4 months, so happy 4-monthaversary you two!
I hope you all delight in these people in all their teal and purple glory as much as I did, and be sure to leave a comment at the bottom of the post if you loved their wedding! I know I did.
Can you see the cultural melding in the DIY heart-shaped garland and through the window?
Tamar made these from scratch and they were delicious (yes, I admit I had to try one)! Tamar also designed and printed the labels for all the food, indicating if it was vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and any other allergy information. So creative and also very thoughtful!
It’s hard to ignore Tamar’s glorious hair. If you look at their engagement photos, you’ll see a different rainbow spectrum! As someone who recently added some colors to the tips of my hair, I have always been in love with bright, bold hair like this. This time Tamar dyed it to match the colors of her wedding (of course – how could it be any other way?). And isn’t she just stunningly beautiful?
Her mom made Tamar’s wedding dress and Tamar made the bouquet. Such a talented family!
Bruno looked dashing in his purple attire also!
During their adorable first look, Tamar presented Bruno with a vest that her mom had made for him to match Tamar’s dress!
Can’t you just feel all the love emanating from these families?
She is just so gorgeous! This was a really neat ceremony I hadn’t seen before where each family member came and placed a flower at Tamar and Bruno’s feet, which created the symbol of eternity.
This was amazing – Bruno’s parents kissed in celebration, and moments later Tamar’s parents kissed in celebration. 🙂
Tamar and Bruno’s awesome friends!
Their first dance was beautifully choreographed and I love that Tamar shed her jacket and put on some heels for this part!
