Hazel was Stacie and Patrick’s beloved furry companion, who was honored beautifully with this box containing her collar, and with a framed photo at the alter. And that really got to me, because damn, losing my dogs has always been the most profound losses of my life. Their love for her showed everywhere, and their current furry children, Nova and Theory, were an integral part of the day! Because for as quick-witted and bad-ass Tricky and the Face are, they are just as warm-hearted and just really good people.
Stacie and Patrick also made, like, their entire wedding. They crafted the hell out of it until everything was as bright as a tangerine and the blue sky above. And they did it well, too.
Stacie found her dress online and did a Google image search to find out who made it. Turns out it’s a dress from a Mori Lee collection from 2012. She called 56 bridal shops in Texas before finding one in her size. She, her mom, and the queen of honor drove up to Dallas to try it on, and it turns out the store used to be a bridal shop, but is now just a quinceinera and prom store. Good news is, the 15 or so wedding dresses they had left over from when they were a bridal shop were on discount!
There are two things that Stacie and Patrick and their families made in this photo. The yard games.
